Growing the best for our brewers

Similar to grapes in a vineyard, hop plants capture the local terroir that is reflected in the climate, soil and geography of where it is grown. Our hop yard was established in 2012 on the western edge of our farm where our loam-clay soil has proven to offer the right ingredients to grow quality hops in a sustainable manner.   Lot 17 is the original land designator for our farm homestead, which was established in the 1850's and is the inspiration for our business name.  We are a family run business on a sixth-generation century farm that is committed to producing high quality hops to meet the needs of our brewery partners.

We take great pride in showcasing the potential to grow hops in our region and are working alongside fellow growers to apply best practices to re-establish the commercial hop industry in the province. Similarly we are expanding our production to two-acres to focus on farm-to-brewery collaborations and new opportunities to work with regional brewers who value locally produced hops.
